Because of Him

This was a poem I had the opportunity to write recently for a submission in the LDS magazing, the Ensign.  I'm so grateful for my Savior, and I loved remembering his atonement this Easter.  I loved the new videos the church has come out with about the savior.  I will post a few in the coming days.  In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy my little poem!

BECAUSE OF HIM

Fresh dew on lush, green leaves

Spring rains on newly planted seeds

Snow covered peaks

Against a blue sky that seems to speak

Because of Him

Solemn experiences foretell a trial

Knees do sink but all the while

Faith knows of better days

Trust in a firm foundation already lay

Because of Him

Guilt on a sinner’s mind

Satan’s snares seem to bind

Atonement used in time of need

Finally feeling exultant and freed

Because of Him

Beautiful creations all around

Comfort through tribulation profound

Forgiveness of plaguing sin

Remember, Remember, LET HIM IN

Because of Him
